The fire grew overnight and is now said to be at 3,002 acres of grass and brush. This firestorm still remains at 0% containment.

The observed fire behavior is said to be extreme with wind-driven runs, short-range spotting, and uphill runs.

According to rep. Doug LaMalfa, he met with the Incident Command Team yesterday to review the aerial attack and other plans to stop the forward progression of the firestorm. His office has reached out to FEMA and CAL OES partners to advise them of the situation on the ground. DWR had advised him that they would be using the spillway temporarily to release water because the Hyatt Power Plant was down due to PG&E equipment being impacted by the fire.
