The GRANDE FIRE started at 1457 hours on July 4th and is burning west of Patterson (Stanislaus County) from an unknown cause.
The fire has burned about 330 acres and is now 50% contained.
CAL FIRE Santa Clara Unit is in Unified Command with West Stanislaus Fire.
There are 120 total personnel along with 11 engines, two (2) dozers, two (2) water tenders, two (2) crews, and eight (8) other assigned resources.
Firefighters continue to construct and secure containment lines. Access, topography, and weather have made containment difficult but good progress is being made, according to CAL FIRE Officials.
