The OAK RIDGE FIRE is located three miles northwest of Beulah, Colorado in the Pike and San Isabel National Forest (USFS) and under the management of a CIMT (RM Team 3) was reported on June 22, 2024.

The cause was due to lightning.

A Community Meeting was held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, ” Last night at the community meeting it was presented that we expect this fire to grow to around 6,500 acres. However, that growth will be done by us, proactively and strategically, and will prevent the fire from sitting and being driven by wind and weather and extreme fire behavior.”

Today, Fire Officials say they expect conditions to dry out so no firing operations will be conducted.

About 73 total personnel are assigned to this incident along with 20 crews, 29 engines, and six (6) copters.

About 1,191 acres of timber and brush have been burned and crews have reached a 25% containment status.

Fire behavior has been observed as moderate with wind-driven runs, group torching, and spotting.

The Community of Beulah, many structures and energy infrastructure are directly being threatened.

Area, road, and trail closures are in effect.

The total cost-to-date for fire suppression and containment efforts has reached today a total of $9.1 Million.
