The Round Mountain Fire is located in La Pine and burning near a second wildfire named the Wickiup Fire.

About 50 acres have been burned and there is a 5% containment status.

Firefighters today working on securing an existing fireline and protecting Round Mountain Lookout.

Between the two wildfires, they are sharing resources which include four hand crews, 11 engines, four dozers, four skid engines, three tankers, four fallers, and several overhead personnel.
