Sit Rep 1 | July 20, 2024 | 2020 PT

Firefighters with the Corona Fire Department and CAL FIRE were dispatched around 1710 hours PT on Saturday evening on July 20, 2024, to a report of a brush fire.

The brush fire is located off of La Sierra and Tin Mine Road, west of Lake Matthews in El Cerrito (Riverside County), California.

There are 140 firefighters, 23 engines, two water tenders, eight overhead personnel, and four fire crews.

Aircraft assigned to this incident as Air Attack 310, Air Tankers 70, 71, 72, and 73.

Road closures: La Sierra Road between Cajalco and El Sobrante.

The Incident Cooperators include the BDU/CAL FIRE, the CA Highway Patrol, and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

No injuries or current evacuations are in effect.

About 125 acres have been burned and the forward progress has been stopped as of 2006 hours, per CAL FIRE which is great news! Firefighters will remain on the scene to work on fully containing the fire.
