INCIDENT SUMMARY
The Pioneer Fire has been burning since it began on June 8, 2024, as this started on private land from a human cause, about 10 miles southeast of Stehekin on Lake Chelan in Chelan County, Washington.
CAUSE
The human cause is under investigation.

COMMAND/MANAGEMENT
The fire is under the Administrative Unit of the Southeast Region of the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (WA DNR) and under the management of a Complex IMT, CA Team 15. They are also managing the Easy Fire.
RESOURCES
Current resources include 13 crews, 5 copters, 25 engines, 28 water tenders, 13 heavy equipment, and 676 personnel.

CURRENT STATUS
Fire behavior is active with uphill runs, flanking, and backing. About 35,477 acres have been burned and have a 12% containment status.
EVACUATIONS
Numerous structures are threatened. Multiple Evacuation Levels have been issued throughout the beginning from Level 1s to 3s and remain in place.

CLOSURES
Evacuations, area, road, and trail closures are in effect.
COST-TO-DATE
The Cost-to-Date today for fire impression and containment efforts has reached $3.8 Million Dollars.
