Purple Fire | Wednesday Fire Update @ 2200 hours PT

INCIDENT SUMMARY | A new wildfire started this evening in the area of 42 Dickerson Lane and southwest of Bangor in Robinson Mill (Butte County), California.

The fire was started this late afternoon at 1722 hours PT, which has prompted evacuation warnings but has since been lifted by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.

FIRE FACT: According to CAL FIRE, there have been a total of 4,911 wildfires with a total of 798,231 acres burned with 1,026 structures destroyed and 139 damaged.

CAUSE | The cause is under investigation and unknown at the time of this post.

COMMAND | The Lead Fire Agency is CAL FIRE Butte Unit.

CURRENT STATUS | CAL FIRE states about 11 acres have been burned and there is a 0% containment status. Other scanner fire buffs are reporting the forward progression of the fire has been stopped.
