UPPER BIDWELL PARK, CALIFORNIA
— The Park Fire is burning off of Upper Park Road in the Upper Bidwell Park area and about four miles east of Chico, California, started on July 24, 2024.
Since the wildfire started, about 429,401 acres of timber and brush, along with 637 structures have been destroyed and damaging 49 homes and buildings. About 1,002 remain threatened.
Thankfully, no fatalities or injuries have been reported, say CAL FIRE Officials.
The cause of the fire was arson and the suspect was arrested.
There are about 4,156 total personnel along with seven helicopters, 219 engines, 80 dozers, 100 crews, 191 water tenders and 173 other assigned resources remain attached to this incident.

Fire behavior has been reported as minimal with creeping and smoldering.
