Fish Creek Fire

FISH CREEK, WYOMING — The Fish Creek Fire was discovered on Friday, August 16, 2024, in the Jackson Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

The lightning-caused wildfire then began spreading into heavy timber in a remote area of the North Fish Creek drainage, and about seven (7) miles southwest of Togwotee Pass. This also has caused closed roadways, trails, area closures, and evacuations.

The fire has burned about 11,278 acres and reached a 23% containment status.

There are 331 total personnel with one masticator, one feller buncher, five copters, eight hand crews, and 13 engines that are assigned, under the management of the Northern Rockies IMT 1 with Incident Commander Brent Olson at the helm.
