INCIDENT SUMMARY
The DAVIS FIRE is located about 15 miles southwest of Reno, in the Washoe Valley area in Nevada, which started AT 1430 hours on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in the Davis Creek Regional Park.
CURRENT STATUS
Size Up | It has been reported by local news media outlets that the fire has burned about 3,300 acres and some structures have been impacted by the flames.
Evacuations are in Effect | According to Forest Fire Officials, a portion of south Reno remains under evacuation notices.
Power Outages | Power outages have occurred in the area, leaving some residents, homes, businesses, and traffic signals without electricity. NV Energy is working to restore power to as many customers as possible. As of 1230 hours PT today, there were a total of 6,700 customers without power.
