The BATTLE MOUNTAIN COMPLEX started from an undetermined cause on July 17, 2024, which has burned about 183,026 acres of timber, grass, and brush. These wildfires are located west and south of Ukiah, Oregon.
North Fork Owens Fire & Monkey Creek Fire started in the late afternoon and evening on July 17, 2024.
Snake Fire & Monkey Creek Fire merged together on July 22, 2024.
The Boneyard Fire and the Monkey Creek Fire merged together as one on July 25, 2024.
About 17 Fires in this Complex have destroyed seven homes and 10 minor structures.
Two homes were damaged along with two minor structures.
About 357 residences and 530 minor buildings are still being threatened.
There is a total of 62 personnel assigned to the incident under the SW Area Management Team 3, a Type 3 IMT though the fires are considered 100% contained.
Additionally, there are six crews, eight engines, one helicopter, 12 water tenders, and five bulldozers.
These started from an undetermined cause on July 17, 2024.
Today, the fires have been reduced to mostly smoldering, primarily in the canyons which is on the north end of the fire.
The cost-to-date has reached 81 Million Dollars.
