The YOUNG GRASSHOPPER FIRE started on September 6, 2024, about five miles southwest of Cascade Summit in the State of Oregon, was sparked by lightning.
The fire has burned about 1,245 acres of timber and has a 12% containment status. It has been slated for full containment by October 20th.
There are about 73 total personnel along with two crews and seven engines still staffing this incident, that are under the leadership of the USDA Forest Service.
