Greenbrier Branch Fire | Sit Rep 1 | November 8, 2024


A wildfire was reported by wildland fire officials to the National Interagency Fire Center based out of Boise, Idaho on Friday, November 8, 2024.

The fire is burning about two (2) miles south of Lee City, Kentucky.

Fire behavior has been observed as active with running, flanking, and backing.

Structures and energy infrastructure are being threatened.

About 740 acres of timber and hardwood litter have been burned. As of this update, the fire has a 75% containment status on it.

There is a total number of 12 personnel along with two engines.

There has been a $3,000 cost-to-date for fire suppression and containment efforts expenses.
