CREST CANYON FIRE


Update 2 | November 28, 2024, 2130 hours PT

A brush fire is still burning in Fontana, which was believed to have been started this evening around 2004 hours PT, according to CAL FIRE officials, and is reporting in Unified Command.

We know for a fact, that per San Bernardino County updates via their Twitter account this information is outdated.

CAL FIRE/RRU is currently the Lead Agency.

The fire is burning south of Hwy 60 near Canyon Crest Drive where it originated in San Bernardino County and has moved into Riverside County, California.

The fire has burned about 85 acres and has a sustained 0% containment status.

There is no known reason for what caused the fire and Officials are working on that at the time of this update was released.

Evacuation warnings are in effect for the following areas:

  • North of 60 Fwy
  • East of County Village Road
  • South of Riverside/San Bernardino County Line
  • West of Sierra Avenue

No reports of injuries or fatalities have been reported.
