Incident Summary

The EATON FIRE ignited on January 7, 2025, at 1818 hours PT near Altadena Drive and Midwick Drive Altadena and about four miles northeast of Pasadena, California. The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.

Current Status

The fire has burned about 2,227 acres of chaparral, brush, and grass. Fire behavior is active with uphill runs, running, and spotting. Multiple communities and critical infrastructure is still being threatened. CLOSED: Multiple areas, roads, and trails.

Command

The fire is under Unified Command with Los Angeles County FD (Lead Fire Agency), Pasadena FD, and the US Forest Service.
