SIT REP 1: MARCH 22, 2025, SATURDAY 2200 PT
The Blackburn Fire is burning in the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest managed by the U.S. Forest Service, is about two miles northwest of Chester and two miles southwest of Devil’s Den State Park in Washington County, Arkansas.

It started on Sunday, March 16, 2025, and Forest Service Officials are stating the cause is unknown and under investigation.
According to the NIFC, based out of Boise, Idaho where they receive daily Situational Reports from Fire Officials across the United States, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, the fire scorched 1,169 acres of hardwood litter and firefighters had reached a 40% containment status.
Fire behavior has been observed as creeping and backing.
There are currently 15 total personnel staffing two engines.
The cost-to-date for fire suppression and containment efforts has reached: 17,000.00
