SIT REP 1 — JUNE 16, 2025, MONDAY

The HOWE FIRE is a brush fire, burning in steep terrain south of the community of Piru and the Santa Clara River. A second alarm fire response was ordered at 1903 hours PT.

It is estimated to be around 38.31 ACRES

Incident cooperators include 140 total fire personnel, air tankers, and additional helicopters representing the Ventura County Fire Department, Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, CAL FIRE, and Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Firefighters on the ground and in the air were said to be making good progress and starting to reach their fire objectives as set by Fire Officials.
