EL DORADO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — A wildfire designated as the BONANZA FIRE ignited from an unknown cause on June 17, 2025, on Bonanza Auto Road and Hollandview Drive, east of Shingle Springs.
The cause is unknown and under investigation.
The Lead Fire Agency is the CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit. There is no IMT assigned to this incident.

- 10 Tanker Air Carrier
- ALERT California
- El Dorado Sheriff’s Office
All aviation aircraft for this incident were deployed out of CAL FIRE’s Amador-El Dorado Unit’s mcClellan Airtanker Base.
The fire has burned about 181 acres and there is a 75% containment status.
The fire is currently in a patrol status and will be for the next few days as they work on achieving 100% containment and all fire objectives.
