The LAKE FIRE started this afternoon just before 1600 hours (1558) PDT off of State Hwy 173 and Cedar Springs Dam Trail, near Silverwood Lake in San Bernardino County, California.
Fire Command is Unified Command with the San Bernardino National Forest, the San Bernardino County Fire, and CAL FIRE San Bernardino Unit.

The cause is unknown and under investigation.
The fire’s behavior is extreme, with a moderate rate of spread with short-range spotting, and immediate structures in danger.
According to the local Fire Officials, the fire has already burned 175 acres, and this is said to be an out-of-control wildfire now threatening nearby homes and structures. Per the National Weather Service, winds are gusting at 20-35 mph over the next few hours, slowly weakening through the evening and into the overnight hours. Evacuations are in progress, issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Structure protection is in effect for:
- Off Hwy 138
Aviation assets include:

- Lead Bravo 59
- Airtankers 40, 70,71,72,73,76,105, and 182.
- Copter 9PJ, and 531.
