The LARCH CREEK FIRE is burning on Winslow Road, south of Dufur, near Friend (Wasco County), Oregon, which started on private lands this afternoon at 1545 hours.
The fire has burned about 50 acres. | Updated @ 1923 PT to 92.18 acres.
Incident Cooperators include: ODF, Wasco County Sheriff’s Office,
Resources were dispatched via the Washington (DNR)’s Columbia Cascade Communication (WACCC) at 1545 hours PDT , around the time the fire was just breaking out. Those resources include: C-94, 9420, FORE 12B, SQD-12 C, E-9461, E-9464, E-321, SQD-12 B, and E-601.
EVACUATIONS ARE IN EFFECT:
Be Set (Level 2) for the area of Heberlein Road, north to Winslow Road, east to Hwy 197, south to Hwy 197 and Dufur Gap Road, west to Kingsley Road to the intersection of Heberlein.

Be Ready (Level 1) from Hwy 197 south to Huslse Rd/Tygh Ridge Rd, east of the Deschutes River, north to Center Ridge Road, and Long Hollow Road, west to Hwy 197, south of Friend Road and Kingsley and Old Dufur Roads to Shadybrook Road and east to Hwy 197.
