Rim Wildfire – Stanilaus National Forest (CA)

Location:  Groveland Ranger District, Stanilaus National Forest.  Sonora, CA.

Acres Burned:  224,777 = total of 348.1 square miles.

Cause: Unknown. Still under investigation.

Cost to Date:  $66 Million.

Status:  Day 16 of fire.  Burning operations and structure protection in place.

Structural Integrity:  4500 structures threatened.  Destroyed structures:  11 residences.  3 commercial buildings. 97 outbuildings.

Containment:  45%.

Resources:  5,115 personnel as of 2130 Hours (previously at 1830 hours there were 4,606 in personnel).  42 States, plus WA DC have sent mutual aid to fire.  5 reported injuries (unknown if FD or homeowners).

Advisories:  (Area closures now extended into the following areas) Mi-Wok Ranger District (Ranger Station #209-586-3234); Groveland Ranger District (Ranger Station #209-962-7825).  Inside Yosemite National Park – Tamarack Flat, Yosemit Creek Campgrounds and White Wolf Lodge remains closed.
