Snohomish County Fire District 1 is creating an employment list for the position of Entry Level Firefighter. FireTEAM testing through National Testing Network must be completed by December 20, 2013.
Fire or EMS experience is NOT required to apply.

Application Period: November 14, 2013 – December 20, 2013
Salary Information: $5,120 to $6,400 per month after 36 months (5 step range).

Department Information:
Snohomish County Fire District 1 is one of the largest fire departments in the State of Washington, providing a full range of fire, emergency medical, public education, and fire prevention services to more than 195,000 residents.
Fire District 1 staffs 12 stations 24/7, serving south Snohomish County and the Cities of Brier, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace and the Town of Woodway; responding annually to more than 19,522 fire and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) calls. All current firefighters are certified as either Emergency Medical Technicians or Paramedics. Firefighters specializing in hazardous material response and technical rescue are on duty daily. Fire District 1 has staff members assigned full time to training, community relations, fire prevention and public education. District 1 provides progressive, Advanced Life Support/Basic Life Support transport service.

Job Requirements: Must be 21 years of age at time of application date, a U.S. Citizen, HS grad, possess a valid WA Driver’s License by the date of hire and provide a copy of your driving record for the last three previous years at time of application and be insurable. Be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Prior Experience: Fire or EMS experience is NOT required to apply.
Additional Requirements: Successful candidate must meet the Washington State Retirement health eligibility requirements.
