Job Classification: Volunteer Resident Firefighter/EMT
The North County Regional Fire Authority is building an ongoing eligibility list for Part Time Lateral Entry Firefighter/EMT. This position requires FireTEAM and a valid NTN CPAT through National Testing Network (NTN).
The Department requires the candidate PHQ. You can access the questionnaire through your NTN candidate account. Please complete the PHQ as soon as possible as it is required for your hiring process.

Department Overview: North County Regional Fire Authority is comprised of five fire stations, four of which are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department service area is approximately 107 square miles. There are 27 career firefighters and approximately another 60-70 volunteers and Part-Time Firefighters that help make up the core of the department. North County Regional Fire Authority responds to over 3,000 calls per year.
The most visible and valued services provided by North County Regional Fire Authority is our response to and control of emergency events that affect the citizens in the area in which we serve.
North County Regional Fire Authority provides a variety of services including:
• Fire Suppression
• Water Rescue
• ALS/BLS Emergency Medical Services and Transport
• Hazardous Materials Response
• Public Information and Education

Age: 18
US Citizen: Yes
High School Grad/GED: Yes
Valid WASHINGTON State Driver’s License: Yes
Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
Necessary Certifications:
• 18 years of age upon appointment
• High School graduate (or equivalent)
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Physically and mentally capable of performing the function of a Firefighter/EMT
• Possess Current CPAT at time of hire(within 1 year)
• IFSAC Firefighter 1/HazMat Operations
• National Registry EMT and Washington State EMT-B Endorsement or able to obtain
Agree to 1 year minimum commitment.
Schooling Prior and Post Hiring:
• High School graduate (or equivalent)
