Baca Fire | Arizona | Update | July 13

INCIDENT SUMMARY

A Wildfire is burning 27 miles S of the intersection of I-40 and Anvil Rock Road and West of the Baca Float and approximately 52 miles NW of Prescott, Arizona.  It is burning on land managed/owned by the Arizona State Department of Forestry but originally started on private lands.  The wildfire was ignited by lightning on July 7th around 1422 hours.

Currently, there are 10 personnel on-scene and one helicopter.  1697 acres of grass and brush have been scorched.  The fire is currently being monitored by the air. Fire is expected to move to the Southeast.

It is at a 0% containment status.

DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

There are no homes or structures currently being threatened nor were any destroyed.  The cost-to-date of this incident has reached $55,000.00.
