The Connor Fire behavior is minimal with smoldering. It has burned 615 acres and has a 90% containment status.
There are 8 personnel along with 2 engines are still attached to this incident.
Cost-to-date fire suppression costs are $115,000 so far.
UPDATE 2 – APRIL 1, 2017
The wildfire started at 1615 Hours on March 26, 2017. The cause is still under investigation.
Firefighters are monitoring and conducting mop-up operations around the fire perimeter.
The fire has scorched 618 acres up from the 300 acres listed on Friday.
Update 1 – March 31, 2017
The Conner Fire is located in the National Forests and is about eight miles NE of Silver Springs or in the Ocala National Forest. It was reported on March 26, 2017, 138 Avenue Rd in Florida.
The wildfire has burned about 615 acres of southern rough and brush.
Currently, the fire behavior is minimal and is creeping. Firefighters have successfully gained a 65% containment around the fire. Due to fire in the area, road closures are in effect at this time.
There are 43 personnel assigned with the aid of 7 engines.
A cost-to-date of $112,000 in fire suppression efforts has been assessed.
There have no information reported on injuries, damages or the cause of the wildfire.
