A new wildfire reported started on Sunday night near the Norse Peak Fire just West of Cliffdel on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.  A second wildfire has ignited overnight called the Reach Fire located West of Connell.

DIAMOND CREEK FIRE – 27 miles NNW of Winthrop

JOLLY MOUNTAIN FIRE – 13 miles NW of Cle Elum

Fire is located about 2 miles inside the Tenaway IRA. 8/11/2017 start date. Lightning caused.  Timber. Kalmiopsis Wilderness and on the Rogue River – Siskiyou NF. OR.  Lightning caused.  Started 7/12/2017.   Timber, brush. Moderate fire behavior with backing, flanking and creeping. Fire has made significant movement during the last 48 hours. Level 3 evacuation orders in effect for 3,000 homes beginnning at the intersection of Carpenterville Road and Hwy 101, North to the Pistol River and from the Pacific Ocean East. Additionally, residence above Da-Tone Road. 3,368 homes, 50 minor structures threatened with 3 already destroyed.  91,551 acres. 0% contained. 788 personnel. 11 crews, 90 engines and 9 helos. $4 Million CTD.  #ChetcoBarFire

Started 8/12/2017. Type 1 IMT team. Active fire behavior with spotting and torching.  Spruce Creek Fire (5,360 acres), and Blanket Creek Fire (5,889 acres).  Smaller fires include:  Silent Fire (2 acres), Butte Fire (5 acres), Broken Lookout (818 acres), Roundtop Fire (10 acres), Needle Fire (8 acres), Sherwood Fire (71 acres).  12,163 acres. 68% containment.  451 personnel.  9 crews, 9 engines and 5 helos. Burning along 16 Road (South of).  Started 8/11/2017. Lightning caused. Located in Three Sisters Wilderness and about 1.5 miles SW of Black Crater Lake. Timber. IMT1 (SW Team / OSF Green Team) IC is also managing the Belknap Fire.  Estimated containment date is 101/2017. Moderate fire behavior with torching, crowning and short-range spotting.
