First of Two Wildfires Ignite in Mason County

Fire crews were dispatched at 1311 hours PDT on Thursday, June 6th, 2019 through the South Puget Sound Dispatch Center to the first fire in this area.  While firefighters were fighting this fire named the PROBERT FIRE, others were dispatched at 1316 hours to the PINE GARDEN FIRE.

Fire crews helped stop this fire progressing forward and kept it to less than one acre which destroyed grass, brush, slash and logs.  Firefighters contained the fire at 1400 hours and brought it under control at 1500 hours.

The fire is currently in patrol status.

No word on what sparked the wildfire.
