The SAND FIRE began on June 8th around 1450 hours PDT. The official cause has not been released yet via CAL FIRE, who is the lead fire agency.
It is located about seven miles NNW of Guinida and 92 miles NNE of San Francisco, California.
The fire has burned approximately 2,220 acres total acres and crews have reached a 20% containment status.
7 non-residential structures have been destroyed.
Evacuations are still in effect for those on CR 41.
There are a total of 627 fire personnel attached to this incident along with 45 engines, 24 crews, 4 helicopters, 12 dozers and 11 water tenders.
