The Wildfire Log: 2nd Wildfire Burning in Franklin Co, WA

UPDATE 2 – JULY 6, 2019 – SATURDAY

A wildfire is burning in Smith Canyon of Franklin County, Washington, prompting Dispatch to dispatch Batt603, Crew 6201 and BLM E6696 to the scene at 1255 hours PDT today.

Correction: Smoth Canyon as previously reported and corrected by sources is actually “Smith” Canyon.

The fire has now destroyed 104 acres of grass and brush.

There have been no reports of injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The cause of this wildfire is unknown.
