UPDATE 1 — JULY 7, 2021 — WEDNESDAY — 2105 PT
A wildfire named the DRY GULCH FIRE is burning about 11 miles southeast of Pomeroy and southwest of Clarkston, Washington in DNR’s Bankenship area, was discovered this morning at 0722 hours (7:22am).
Resources dispatched through the OR Blue Mountain Interagency Dispatch Center sent multiple units including IC Schoenfeld, SE,4501 and SE4502 at 0722 hours PT.
Fire was caused by lightning.
1,000 acres of grass and sage have been scorched.
Looks like both OR and WA are fighting this fire and others
