The Haywire Fire originally ignited from an undetermined cause on June 13, 2022, around 0530 hours in the morning. The wildfire incident is located about 17 miles northeast of Flagstaff and about 7.5 miles of Done Park, Cinder Hills, Haywire Crater, as well as east of Sunset Crater, Arizona.

Command of this fire is under the direction of the Great Basin (GB) Team 2, a Type 1 IMT.

Fire behavior has been observed as moderate with single tree torching, backing and flanking. Rain fell over the fire line on Saturday.

Evacuations are still in effect.

The current size of the fire is 5,5683 acres with a 40% containment status.

There are a total of 214 fire personnel along with six crews and 13 engines.

Cost-to-date has reached $416,000.
