The THORP ROAD FIRE is located in the 1600 block of Thorp Road near Moxee (Yakima), Washington State.

The wildcad.net CAD system states the fire is burning in Union Gap, which is about 7.1 miles from one another.

(L) YCFD4 – East Valley

According to sources, the fire has burned through 2,000 acres of brush and resources have a 0% containment status.

It has been stated that it broke out between 2200-2230 hours on the 4th of July. The cause is unknown and under investigation.

Evacuations are in effect –> Level 2 –> Thorp Road/Konnowac Pass

Yakima Valley Emergency Management – Evacuation orders.

Yakima County Fire District #4 – East Valley

WA State Fire Marshal’s Office – approval of State Mobe resources.

WA State EOC – Camp Murray

Hoquiam Fire Department

Homes, electrical grids, irrigation, cultural areas, and crops are currently under direct threat.
