SIT REP 2 | JULY 7, 2024 | SUNDAY FIRE UPDATE | 1850 hours PT

INCIDENT SUMMARY: The LAKE FIRE ignited on July 5, 2024, at 1548 hours PT on Santa Lucia Road near Zaca Lake (Santa Barbara County), California.

SIZE UP: The fire has burned about 16,452 acres and has an eight (8)% containment status.

FIRE COMMAND: Command of this wildfire is under a U.S. Forest Service IMT 13.

CAUSE: The cause is under investigation.

RESOURCES: There are 641 total personnel along with 10 copters, 56 engines, nine (9) dozers, six (6) water tenders, and 15 crews.

INCIDENT COOPERATORS: Los Padres National Forest, American Red Cross.

CLOSED: Happy Canyon Road at forest boundary, Foxen Canyon Road at Zaca Station Road, Alisos Canyon Road, and Figueroa Mountain Road a Midland School.

EVACUATION ORDERS: Figueroa Mountain Road from 5380 Figueroa Mountain Road to Sawmill Basin, including Tunnel Road and the Figueroa Campground.

EVACUATION WARNINGS: Figueroa Mountain Road to Chamberlin, Zaca Lake Road, Foxen Canyon Road, and South of the Sisquoc River.

DAMAGED ASSESSMENT: One structure has been damaged and no others showing lost.

INJURIES: One confirmed fire personnel and/or civilian injury has been reported.
