AMADOR COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — The WICKLOW FIRE ignited on September 9, 2024, from an unknown source on September 9, 2024, at 1315 hours PT. The cause is under investigation.

The Lead Fire Agency: CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit.

It is burning in the 11900 block of California Hwy 88 in Martell, California.

The forward progress has been stopped and all evacuation warnings have been lifted.

Fire crews will remain on the scene for the next few hours for mop-up and to ensure no hot spots remain to rekindle.

The fire has been held to 63 acres and has a 25% containment status.
