Airport Fire

Incident Summary:
The AIRPORT FIRE is burning in Trabuco and Rose Canyons in Trabuco Canyon, California which started on September 9, 2024, around 1321 hours PT.
This is near a remote-controlled airplane airport in Trabuco Canyon. OCFA Firefighters were on the scene quickly around 1408 PT, when the fire was said to be at seven (7) acres.
Resources included during the initial time of the fire incident were engine strike teams, hand crews, dozers, copters, and fixed-wing aircraft.
The fire would quickly grow into something more with the fire spreading rapidly and causing 292 acres to be burned in a short amount of time clocked at 1508 PT.
Cause:
The cause is unknown and under investigation.

The fire has burned about 1,860 acres and has a 0% containment status.
