Mission Fire

Sit Rep 1: October 18, 2024, 1800 hours PT
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (USA) — A brush fire was reported this afternoon to CAL FIRE at 1603 hours PT on Mission Blvd and Crestmore Road in Jurupa.
Firefighters are currently on the scene battling the fire, which is said to be 25 acres in size in heavy fuels with a moderate rate of spread. There is a 0% containment status.
Structures are threatened.
Command is in Unified Command with CAL FIRE / Riverside County FD with Riverside City FD.

“Smoke from this [fire] can be seen on the EB lanes of the 91 Freeway heading towards Riverside. It is burning in the Santa Ana River bed, just south of Mission Road.”
