Join our team as an Office Manager/Payroll Specialist and be a vital part of SE Thurston Fire Authority! This role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Fire Chief, department staff, and the Board of Fire Commissioners. Key responsibilities include payroll processing, managing accounts payable and receivable, petty cash, bonds, and grants, and preparing documents and minutes for the Board of Fire Commissioners’ meetings.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional evenings (approximately once per month).

Qualifications:
– A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field with at least one year of experience in a government entity or an associate’s degree with two years of experience in a similar setting.
– Knowledge of government accounting (BARS), ADP payroll, and Springbrook Software (BIAS).
– Desired: Background in Human Resources and familiarity with fire department operations, including public work projects, workers’ compensation, and public levies.
