OKANOGAN-WENATCHEE NATIONAL FOREST, WASHINGTON STATE (USA)

The POMAS FIRE is burning about 37 miles northwest of Entiat, Washington State (USA), on Forest Land in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in heavy slash and brush.

The cause was due to lightning passing over the area.

The fire has burned about 1,060 acres, and there is still a sustained 0% containment status.

There are approximately 81 personnel, divided into two crews and four helicopters, under the command of Incident Commander Anderson Johnson, OK-WEN NF.
