Incident Summary

A wildfire designated by CAL FIRE as the CARBON FIRE broke out on Saturday, April 25, 2026, around 1335 hours PT, from an unknown cause, which is currently under investigation by Fire Officials.
The fire is located on Carbon Canyon Road and Olinda Road in Brea (Orange County), California.
Incident Cooperators
Currently, OCFA, Brea FD, and the Brea Police Department are in Unified Command.
Current Status
The fire has burned approximately 209 acres. The containment status is currently unknown at the time of this post.
Firefighters are facing constant challenges due to the steep and narrow terrain in the area. Air assets are trying to keep the fire at bay and working to stop the forward spread.
