Incident Summary:
The East Evans Creek Fire was sparked after a car hit a power pole on July 10, 2026, about 14 miles northeast of Rogue River, Oregon.

The fire would quickly spread to nearby dry and heavy fire fuels, which include closed timber litter, timber, and medium slash.
Today, the fire behavior remains moderate with isolated torching, backing, and smoldering, threatening 2,347 structures. This breaks down to 795 single-family residences and 1,552 other minor structures. One structure has been damaged, and one SFR and six minor structures were destroyed.
Evacuations are threatened.
During the incident, multiple agencies have crossed state lines to provide mutual aid.
