Around 1430 ish today, a large smoke column could be seen from the I-90 corridor as we were heading over to Eastern Washington.  Of course, we made a quick detour from where we were heading and snuck over back to Bellevue.

Listening to scanner traffic and seeing the obvious smoke rising from the Eastgate area, we followed it until we arrived on scene – at Bellevue College.  The entrance to the College is literally across the street from Bellevue Fire’s Station #2.

Aid 2 was in the area when the tones hit for a commercial structure fire.  Heavy smoke and flames were visible.  B1 was second in with additional units arriving.

The fire was quickly tapped and damage contained.  It could have been far worse but they were able to get it out fast.

Great job to everyone who fought this huge fire on such a hot day.
