Lake Stevens Fire is currently hiring one (1) fulltime paramedic. Anticipated hire date is April 1, 2015. Employees who have not previously gone through the Washington State Fire Firefighter 1 and 2 Recruit Academy will be enrolled in the RA2015-02 State Fire Academy class to begin April 30, 2015.
All testing through National Testing Network (NTN) must be completed by January 31, 2015.
Union Status: IAFF, local 3235 Base Salary Range per contract.

Departmetn Information: Lake Stevens Fire is a combination department with 41 career firefighters and approximately 25 Part Paid Firefighters. The department provides ALS and BLS service, including transports, fire prevention and public education programs. Lake Stevens Fire serves a population of approximately 40,346 and 41.8 sq. mi.
Job Requirements: 18 years old minimum. Must be a U.S. Citizen and High School Grad or have a GED. Must possess a Valid Washington State Driver’s License. Be able to read and speak English, as well write in English. Required to complete and pass an entry-level medical exam and drug test.
Other Requirements:
Current Washington State Paramedic Certification with 3 years of experience and up-to-date on all recertification requirements as of January 31, 2015. Current CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) Passing Score. Successful completion of FireTeam Test at National Testing Network.

The department requires the candidate PHQ. You can access the questionnaire through your candidate NTN account. The PHQ must be completed or you may not be considered further in the process.
