Incident Summary
A slow-moving wildfire broke out on Thursday, March 17, 2016, around 3 in the

morning on forest lands of George Washington and Jefferson National Forests. The fire is said to be located 10 miles East of Raphine, Virginia and West of Blue Ridge Parkway within Saint Mary’s Wilderness in Augusta County.

this fire included National Park Service, Augusta Fire-Rescue and the Virginia Department of Forestry.

This is the last update as the fire has reached a 75% containment status. The total acres is 706 acres.
At the end of this post, there still was no known cause to this fire. We assume investigations are still searching.
