WA Wildfire: Kewa Fire | August 11 2016

Incident Summary

Colville Indian Reservation | The KEWA Wildfire started on 8/2/2016 @ 1200 noon from an unknown cause about 15 miles South of Inchellium .   The fire is currently has a min fire behavior and smoldering.


The fire has scorched a total of 1,889 acres of Timber (grass/understory) and brush.  Fire crews have reached a 90% containment status.

This fire is being managed by the NW Incident Management Team #9.


There are still 291 personnel assigned to this wildfire incident.

The following are Agencies/Organizations that work together as Incident Cooperators:  WA DNR, Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Colville Tribe.
