Incident Summary | A wildfire has been determined to have started around 1412 hours PST on February 18, 2018, is still burning on the Pleasant Valley Dam Road and Highway 395, just north of Bishop, (Inyo County) California, The wildfire had been previously reported as tripling in size to 2,800 acres was quickly reduced down to 2,250 acres after more accurate mapping had been completed. Today, firefighters continue to hold the wildfire to the same acreage with forward progression as being stopped.
Firefighters have successfully reached a 65% containment status are said to be making good progress during their mop-up operations.
Cause | Cause is unknown and under investigation.
Command | Unified Command is made up of CAL FIRE – San Bernardino Unit, Inyo County Sheriff’s Office and CHP.
Resources | 350 fire personnel along with 20 engines, 18 hand crews and two bulldozers. Local government fire resources have been released from the incident.

Evacuations | All evacuation orders have been lifted and all shelters (evacuation/animal) have been closed, as they are no longer needed.
Damage Assessment | There was one trailer destroyed another structure heavily damaged. No civilian nor firefighter injuries were reported.
