LIONSHEAD FIRE

INCIDENT SUMMARY. The LIONSHEAD FIRE is burning about 20 miles west of Warm Springs, Oregon on BIA lands.
COMMAND. Command of the fire is under the management of the RM Team 1, an IMT Type 1. Fire behavior is minimal along with backing, creeping and torching.
CURRENT STATUS. There has been 192,719 acres of timber and brush. Crews have reached a 10% containment status reached.
RESOURCES. There are 1,100 personnel with 28 crews, 7 dozers, 28 water tenders, 29 engines and 11 helicopters.
DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS. About 280 structures have been lost. Cost suppression and fire suppression expenses have reached up to $25,000,000.
EVACUATIONS Level 3 –> Idanha, Detroit, Breitenbus Level 1 –> Sidwalter area; Miller Flat; 1/2 mile East of Hwy 26, mile markers 91.5-99, 1/2 miles E and W of Hwy between mile markers 99-100.
