BOBCAT FIRE

The BOB CAT FIRE is burning on the West Fork of the San Gabriel Canyon at Cogswell Dam on the Angeles National Forest in California. It started on Sunday, September 8th around 1221 hours PT. Cause is unknown and under investigation.
Fire has burned 91,017 acres of chaparral, brush and tall grass. Fire crews have reached a 15% containment status. Earlier this morning, some evacuation orders were lifted. However, by 1421 hours (2:21pm), fire behavior began to take off again prompting emergency evacuations.

TEJON | South of Tejon Road; North of Cooley Place; East of 89th Street East; West of Longview Road
PEACH | North of Pallett Creek; South of West 114th Street; East of Longview Road; West of 165th Street
CIMA BLOCK | 96th East to 116th SE; Fort Tejon Road south to SR 2
JUNIPER BLOCK | 116th East to Devis Punchbowl Road; Fort Tejor Road to SR 2

PARADISE BLOCK | Fenner Camp to intersection of SR 2; Big Pines
A Red Cross Evacuation Shelter is located at the Palmdale High School at 2137 East Avenue R, Palmdale, California 93550.
