The WOLF FANG FIRE is located about four miles northeast of the confluence of Big Creek and the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Frank Church River of No Return Wilderson on the North Fork Ranger District near Salmon, Idaho.
The fire ignited from lightning on July 13, 2022, around 1345 hours.
Since, the beginning of this incident, the fire has burned about 738 acres of spruce and fir and is only staffed by one person, according to Inciweb.
Fire has been observed as creeping, backing down slopes, and with single-tree torching.
The wildfire is current under the watchful eyes and, being monitored by the Middle Fork lookout and fire aviation assets. There are many dangerous conditions for firefighters which includes the area in accessibilities (terrain) and snag hazards.
