UPDATE 1: Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 2130 hours PDT
Incident Summary
A wildfire ignited on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, about 2.5 miles southeast of Woodland Park off of Rampart Range Road (USFS Pike and San Isabel) in Pikes Peak Ranger District in El Paso County in the State of Colorado.

Location
The fire was reported at 1430 hours.
It is burning in grass and Ponderosa Pine in the area of the old Waldo Canyon Burn Scar.
Fire Resources
One single-engine air tanker (SEAT) assisted resources, dropping water from above while ground firefighters hose all the way around the fire and were working to continue with cooling the fire’s edges.
One USFS engine and several other fire departments in El Paso County were dispatched to the area.
Current Fire Status
Firefighters have the fire holding at a total of 20 acres, according to the fire department. overnight. Engines will work on patrolling and securing the edge of the fire. An order for additional resources has been placed to support suppression efforts for tomorrow.

Unknown.

There have been no injuries to civilians or first responders as being reported.
