SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA. — Firefighters with Snohomish County Fire District #4 were dispatched at 0252 hours this morning to an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) in the 1500 block of Bonneville Avenue in Snohomish, Washington.

The Fire building is said to be approximately 4,792 square feet on a 2.83-acre lot. The property size itself is 16,114 square feet. This is listed as an industrial warehouse/distribution structure. It is located off of SR9 and close to the nearby freeways.

Additional information provided by Dispatch stated that there was a water flow alarm was also showing for this call. However, when the first due engine arrived, they were greeted by smoke in the building and requested Dispatch to upgrade the call to a Fire/Commercial Response.

This escalated response level brings out a lot of resources, which in this case SCFD4 was assisted by mutual aid from Everett Fire, South County Fire, and Snohomish Regional Fire Authority (RFA).

Since the commercial building has a sprinkler system, it saved the structure from suffering further damage or being gutted by fire. Firefighters were able to access the building and stop the fire from spreading.

The cause is unknown and under investigation.

Units on the call were: A1, B43, B71, CL43, E1, E2, E13, E41, E42, E43, E77, E82, E83, L1, L33, L71, M1, M71, M82, and MSO71.

There were no reports of injuries listed in the Fire Agency’s post of injuries to civilians or firefighters.

No content or property loss is known at the time of this post.

Thank you, SCFD4 for bringing this important incident to our attention and showing us the great work you all are doing in your communities. We love when #teamworkmakesthedreamwork (when mutual aid always comes to help when needed most). – Ed.
